The Center for Clinical Bioethics sponsors and participates in a variety of clinical conferences, seminars, and workshops. These events provide local and national health care professionals with opportunities for ethical reflection and debate on both a theoretical and practical level.
CCB The Center for Clinical Bioethics sponsors several ethics conferences for both local and national audiences. The Roman Catholic perspective is always well represented at these meetings. Usually one major conference is held in the fall and another is held in the spring.
In addition, the Center maintains a listing of related conferences at other centers and institutions.
Ethics Case Presentations and Rounds
Center for Clinical Bioethics faculty regularly moderate ethics rounds and case presentations in clinical divisions, e.g., pediatric intensive care, neuroscience, medical intensive care, psychiatry and medicine.
Ethics Morning Report
Residents in the Department of Medicine present cases of ethical concern using the standard morning report format on an alternating monthly basis.
