As our name indicates, the focus of our Center is clinical bioethics. Nevertheless, it is virtually impossible for any center for health care ethics to side-step the issue of the morality of U.S. health care overall.  We at CCB intend to devote our efforts in health policy to an ethical critique of U.S. health care.  We are committed to collaborating with colleagues at Georgetown University and elsewhere on behalf of health care justice.  We are particularly concerned to contribute to a national dialogue that identifies the moral dimensions of health policy and forthrightly addresses the hard choices and trade-offs implicit in a more just approach to health care.
