The 2015 Dr. Scholl Scholarships in Clinical Bioethics
At the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics
Georgetown University Medical Center
The Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics is pleased to announce the Scholl Foundation Scholarships in Clinical Bioethics 2015. We are accepting applications from students in medical or nursing health care programs for a funded, mentored experience with PCCB faculty. Two Scholl scholars will spend four weeks between June and August 2015 studying at the Pellegrino Center.
We will award two scholarships each with a stipend of $5,000 with reimbursement of additional incidental research expenses of up to $350. Applicants must propose a focused research or scholarly project to be evaluated by the faculty of the Center, and if a student’s project is suitably aligned with the strengths and interests of PCCB faculty member and demonstrates sufficient rigor and clarity, two applicants will be awarded scholarships and will be mentored by the appropriate faculty member at the Center. Accepted student scholars will participate in Center activities while at the Center, including roundtable and cases discussions. Students will produce a publishable essay and will present the results of their research at a Center roundtable discussion.
